Reflect and Share Questions
are intended primarily to evoke dialogue about the readers' own experiences, and about their findings from researching the Scripture passages listed throughout the Study Guide. The following thoughts are provided strictly as an aid to facilitate further group discussion.
- One of my teenage children was spiritually adrift for a couple of years and came close to shipwreck before, by God's grace, returning to harbor. During this prolonged period of personal anguish, I learned more about the reality of a loving, nurturing—and ultimately, a prayer-answering—Father than I had in all my previous years in the faith.
- Admit we don't have the answers, and then seek God till we do.
- In that moment of panic when we're faced with the unexpected, trust that God has arranged circumstances, and prepared people's hearts ahead of time, to ensure our success.
